2009 Season

The 2009 was awesome, several individuals recommitted their life’s to Christ with others
excepting Christ for the first time.

Pastor James preformed the wedding for Mitchell and Breanna Olsen; this took place on top of
the 5 story race tower building at Brainer International Raceway, blessings to them in their life
long commitment to each other!

On Track 4 Him is expanding it national awareness as we attend events in Texas and Florida.

What a weekend!! It was only Jim and I (Alan) this weekend as Jason
and the DeKeyrel's were taking some much needed R&R. It was my first
real motocross race in over two years. Though I didn't place as well as I
would have liked I’m hopeful for the future. I've ridden since then and my
skill and conditioning is improving every time I ride.

The real highlight of the weekend weren't my races, or any of them for that
matter. The real highlights were the people we met and interacted with and
how God used us to meet their needs.

I guess it all started Saturday afternoon when an 85 rider named Marc
came over and asked us if we were showing a movie that night (we normally
project movies on the side of our rig at night for all of the kids at the track).
We told him we might but that it was still up in the air due to the reduced
manpower. Anyway, Marc hung out and talked with us for a bit and we started
to build a friendship.

We ended up not showing a movie which turned out to be ok because
Marc came back over later that night and asked us if we could help him
change the main jet on his 85. We said Sure! Bring it on over! About
10 minutes later Marc and his father showed up.

It only took about 10 minutes to swap out the main jet and as we were
doing so we noticed that Marc’s fork seals were leaking. Marc told us
about how he was getting bucked around by the braking bumps at the track.
We had set the sag and adjusted a few of the clickers on my bike earlier
that day and had good results so we told him to bring his bike back in the
morning and we’d see what we could do.

Marc came back and we set his sag and softened up his compression
and rebound a few clicks. He came back later and said that the
suspension worked great and engine ran better with the new jet.

We were on a roll now!

We saw another one of our track buddies and asked him if he had
ever set his suspension up. He said no, so we told him to head over
to the rig sometime and we’d set it up. He came over later and we
took the baseline settings but didn’t adjust anything because it was
getting late and he needed to tend to his kids.

Well, either word was getting around, or people were seeing us work
on bikes, or God was just directing people’s paths towards us
(maybe all three) because Sunday afternoon a family we had never
met came over to us and asked us if we had any advice on how to
make there bike work better. Long story short, we helped them as
best we could with guess what…their suspension, and told them to
come back for the movie later that night, which they did. I still remember
what the father told us as we were working on his daughter’s bike:
“We met for a reason, I know it, we met for a reason.”

I do believe that we met for a reason and for now I think the reason is this:
That he might see our light and that God would ultimately be glorified for it.

Sunday night we showed Night at the Museum on the side of the rig.
Despite the fact that the track was hosting its own entertainment with a
DJ and dance floor we still had quite a few people show up for the movie.
Some stayed and watched the whole thing, others watched a few minutes
and left. We probably gave out close to 20 bags of popcorn!

The Pro National was a good time, we had a lot of fun.

We sold corn on the cob, pop, water, hotdogs, and pork on a stick to raise
money for the ministry. The pop and water sold out but we hardly sold any
pork on a stick. We found that the most effective method of selling
was to strap a few coolers to the back of Jim's golf cart and drive around
selling the food. Doug and Jason came back more than once
sold out to pick up more supplies. Everybody worked very hard but we have
to give an extra thank you to Heather DeKeyrel, I don't think
she sat down all weekend.

Another highlight was that we started selling R-Tech race fuel to raise
funds for the ministry. Jim and Doug dyno tested a few bikes with the fuel
and had good results with it.

We had quite a few people stop and ask about the ministry,
thank us for being there, and made a few new contacts in the process.

We had James Polvony's arenacross bike under the canopy.
Also, James had an autograph signing at the rig on Sunday afternoon.

A special thank you to Kaleb and Mosan for their kind gift of two Polaris 120cc snowmobiles! On Track 4 Him will be using these snowmobiles at local Churches on youth nights as an interactive tool to minister to youth in a fun and exciting way. They will be used in mock races, and along with teachings, that transition from the efforts and commitment used in racing to running the race for Christ. Acts 20 [24] However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

Racing and Worship at the AMA MX Pro-Nationals

On Track 4 Him had a wonderful opportunity in August to be part of one of
the biggest Pro National Moto-cross events in the nation. We set out on
August 8th in the afternoon to get the RV and tents all set up before the
madness began on August 9th. With about 60,000 people expected to attend
this event we wanted to get a head start on displaying our information
foreveryone coming in to see. During the next couple of days there were a
lot of curious people stopping by to see what On Track 4 Him was all about.

While Calvin and Jason were out trying to qualify for the amateur races, Jim
answered questions and explained the ministries work to those stopping by.
“It’s Great to see God at the race track”, one onlooker commented. There
were a few tears shed that weekend not only by our staff but by members of
the families, and racers themselves, who have not yet had the chance to
experience Worship at the race track.
On Saturday afternoon, after the pro-qualifiers On Track 4 Him began a
Worship service for youth, and anyone who wanted to attend. There was
worship time, prayer, singing and live music for all to enjoy. It was nice
to see the younger youth coming together to praise Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sunday morning started off with Family Worship time before the races began.
With live music, worship and prayer time in the morning, it was very
interesting to see the smiles on the faces of the spectators as they where
discoveing Church at the race track!

Thank you Lord, partnerships, family and friends!

2 years of prayer time, a 16 hour road trip (726 miles), several cups of
coffee and help from our Lord, partnerships, family and friends On track 4
Him is in ownership of our new Ministry transporter. With this 2001
Renegade 30’ motor home and Renegade 30’ stacker trailer we are able to
transport the complete ministry team, ministry equipment, race gear, race
motorcycles and all necessary support gear to the ministry events in one
trip. It’s a long story but the short of it is, what the evil one had taken
away God has restored and truly God has restored!

Praise God!

On Track 4 Him was involved in the opportunity to begin Church service at
the Millville motocross track, this was the first time Church service has
ever been held at this race track, with approximately 25 attendees, with
some praise and worship time it was a great place to start/plant the
beginnings for a new Church.

From our Family and Friends in AZ.

I went to a "house warming" affair yesterday at Habitat. Kurt Warner and
his wife (Cardinal quarterback from Cedar Rapids and UNI) have a deal where
they fill a house with furnishings and do this twice a year. Somehow they
picked a house we just finished and they had the lady and her kids leave for
a day knowing he lthat they would give them a little gift when they
returned. Well the liittle gift was a house full of furniture, Nice
naugahyde living room furniture, lamps, end tables, decorations, 6 chair and
wooden table kitchen set, cookware sets, dishes, china, silverware,
cupboards full of food, 4 bedroom sets with beds and dressers, computer,
both baths filled with towels and completely furnished with accessories and
tist goes on. His thing is called FIRST THINGS FIRST FOUNDATION and has
Matthew 6: 33 in the banner logo. Both Kurt and his wife talked about
putting God on top of your list so you know what and where your priorities
are and giving a helping hand to those who need it more than you. Very
touching experience. He was so down-to-earth, laid back and absolutely
nothing presumptuous about either of them. I was really impressed with both
of them.

There are good people doing good things for others.
